I have studied and created a broad range of artworks for over 30 years. Fabric Arts
allows me to express beauty, emotions, places, ideas and much more, in a precise and
deliberate manner which also appears natural, as if capturing a spontaneous moment in time.
A diverse artistic background including painting, stainded glass, rug making, colored pencils
and pastels, jewelry making, landscapes, still life and portrait artworks and endless
photographs of almost anything has cumulated in these pictoral and artistic designs that are
both alive with color and also serene.
Along with the artworks that are completely fabric based, I also occasionally include a few
embellishments such as fresh water pearls, glass beads, sequins, tassels, ribbons and embroidery.
Another recent and exciting realm is using some of my computer generated art and photographs as
well as printing and setting these designs directly on fabrics to be incorporated into wall
hangings and quilts.
The dynamic interplay between light, color and form, creates endless opportunities to depict
the natural beauty that surrounds us. Growing up in the Pacific NW, numerous travel and even
everyday trips usually find me with a camera in hand, visiting pristine natural environments and
taking photographs of the environment. When living in Hawaii, one is constantly surrounded by abundant flora and
fauna, it has shaped and refined my pictoral and landscape artworks.
Each piece is truly one-of-a-kind, however if you see a work that I have created that has
already sold and would like a reproduction that will come close to the original piece, please
contact me via email with size requirements and color preferences so as to discuss pricing
and the time required to complete it within the current scheme of my work schedule.
Whether you have chosen an artwork that is bold and exciting, playful or subtle and smoothing,
many years of viewing pleasure awaits.
